OVERVIEW
BACKGROUND

India has never hosted the Olympic games.

We were tasked with picking a year and a location for a future Olympic games. We decided to look into countries that had never hosted the Olympics and landed on India.

India is a country full of vibrancy, culture, and lots of people. With festivals every few months and a populace that is crazy about sports (cricket, in particular), India is ready to host the Olympic games.

Live Vibrantly.

Tapping into the bright colors, many festivals, and abundant food scene of India, we arrived at the tagline, "Live Vibrantly." Whether you are attending the Olympics in person or watching at home, we hope you feel the vibrancy and life of India.

CHALLENGE

Encourage engagement with the location, culture, and people of India.

We wanted to move past cultural stereotypes and have visitors truly experience the unique richness that is India.

OPPORTUNITY

How might we create a culturally immersive experience through the vehicle of the Olympic games?

SOLUTION

Introducing the Immersive Olympic Experience

For Olympic enthusiasts who want to expose themselves to the culture of the host city, the Immersive Olympic Experience is an interactive journey application that allows users to partake in the Olympics by traveling through Mumbai via virtual reality and exploring the games through curated video moments and itineraries. Unlike other mapping and travel applications, our product encourages participation through progress achievements.

The app is designed for all users alike. The experience allows the users to get involved with the spirit of the games and celebrate the essence of Mumbai by metaphysically transporting themselves into the scenes of the biggest and the busiest city of India. This gives them the opportunity to discover the city, participate in the games, win prizes, and ultimately live vibrantly no matter where they are in the world.
